Summer Summer Time!

Well not yet but it feels like summer this week in the DMV.   With the 80 degree temperature I want to break out my sandals.  Since it is not even spring yet, I am not going to wear the open toes but I am searching online for some to wear this summer. 

So far I today I have found four pair that I most have in my closet before the first day of summer.  Of course you know I have listed them here because you just may want them too ;-)

I finally found them

There must be a force out there in the universal that is handing out discounts.  I say this because I have been getting hookups lately when I am out shopping.  You all know about my dilemma finding the perfect pair of wedges last Friday.  Well I didn't tell y'all about the continuation of it last Saturday.  I left out my house early to hit the stores to find the shoe I needed to wear to the Bob Marley Wear Affair that night.  I first stopped at Marshalls in Columbia, MD, they usually have a nice selection of shoes.  But I didn't find what I was looking for to wear that night.  I did find a pair of wedge sandals and open toe wedges (more on those later).  Next up I went to DSW (funny that the same pair of shoes I got in Marshalls were in DSW for a higher price) I didn't see anything in there either. So I ventured on to Columbia Mall.

The first store I went in was Macy's (they were having a great sale on boots!), looked around and didn't see anything.  I then proceeded to do what I did the day before and I went to EVERY store that sold shoes in the mall.  I saw a nice pair of wedge booties in Bakers but I REFUSED to pay $90 for a pair of shoes in there.  I saw another pair in JCPenny's but I wasn't really feeling the patent leather.  I decided to go back to Macy's and just get a cute pair of booties as it seemed like I would never find the wedge I wanted.  I found a cute pair of Nine West boots that were on sale for about $38.  Then something caught my eye...the Guess by Marciano Cala Wedge Bootie

Supposedly they only had the bootie in a size 7.5 but I was not going to let this shoe slip out of my hand.  I asked the associate to check to see if they had it or if I can get it at another store.  Lowe and behold they had my size!!!!

The deets -  this shoe retails for $258, Macy's had them marked down to $189.  Then the sale price came to $134.  Well the store associate hooked my up and I got them for ....wait for it....$99  SWEET FREAKING DEAL!!!!!

I wore them Saturday night - all night with no problems.  I believe these will become my go to shoes :)

Last week when I was out shopping for wedges, I came across these Madden Girl Limmeric pumps in Famous Footwear.  They were on sale for $15!!!  I could not let these shoes stay in the store.  I would have gotten them in black too if they had my size.

I'm back!!!!

I can't believe I haven't made a post since last April.  I guess being laid off and not having the extra money to shop, I stopped looking at shoes.  Which meant I abandoned this blog.  Well I am back!  I'm not going to promise to post every day or every week but I will not go almost a year before making another post.

Well anyway I was out and about yesterday trying to find a pair of black wedges. I think I went into every shoe store in the mall trying to find this perfect wedge (this is why I prefer online shopping).  I finally found them when I went into Saks.  I came across the LAMB Novice Wedge, the price tag said $189 (and some change) with 30% off.  Technically, I am still unemployed so I wasn't trying to spend that much even though I really really wanted to. I reluctantly put the shoe back and left the store.

Next I went into Last Call.  I found a pair of Mark & James by Badgley Mischka Dante Wedge.  I tried them on and they looked great on me!  I checked the price tag $190 (damnit!), so I asked the sale associate were they on sale.  She wasn't sure so I went to the cashier to see if they can do a price check.  She didn't think they were on sale but checked anyway, it came back the price was $114.  Sweet freaking deal considering these shoes retail for $265.  But again I wasn't really feeling the hundred dollar price tag.  


After that I went to Aldo and didn't find anything.  I decided to leave the mall and go home to do what I do best, search for the best price online....
